(FR) Power trio (batterie, basse , guitare) composé de Rabih Gebeile (Mondo Cane, Murmuration, Backbone Party) à la basse et au chant, Arthur Travert (Maud Octallinn, Sundown, Vodka Gun) à la batterie et Michel Malégeant (Moonman & The Unlikely Orchestra, Desmond Korma, Maps of Jupiter) à la guitare.
Le groupe se stablise sous sa forme actuelle en 2016 et entame un
long processus de composition et d'affinage qui va donner naissance à un premier EP éponyme à paraître tout début 2021. En 6 titres et 25
minutes, l'auditeur passe par tous les états : une colère grincante et
sournoise, la surprise d'un soubresaut inattendu, le calme d'une pause lancinante, l'uppercut d'un riff incandescent et dans toutes ces
incarnations, une voix puissante, profonde, envoûtante.
Entre rock indé fédérateur et revendicatif ("Ditch", "Enemies"), épopée intérieure flirtant avec un post-rock relevé ("Secrets") et
noise-rock fiévreux et tendu ( "Felix", "Stockholm", "Mean Men"), le
trio aborde des thèmes aussi bien sociaux que plus personnels.
La brutalité des riffs tranchants et dynamiques qui
feront penser à Shellac, The Jesus Lizard ou Sonic Youth.
La subtilité de passages plus atmosphériques et
mélodiques plus proches de Slint, Shipping News ou
Blonde Redhead.
Des morceaux à tiroirs, bien souvent. Des coups de savate et des crochets en arpèges. Des boucles de guitare stratosphériques prises à la gorge par des salves électriques définitives.
L'ensemble est menaçant, énergique, avançant tête baissée sur une route cabossée. Il s'écoute sans filtre, au bord du précipice.

The group stabilized in its current line up in 2016 and began a
long process of composition and refinement which will give birth to a first eponymous EP to be released early in 2021. In 6 tracks and 25
minutes, the listener goes through all possible mindsets : grinding anger, the surprise of an unexpected twist, the calm of a peaceful pause, the violence of a red hot riff and in all these incarnations, a powerful, deep, bewitching voice.
Constantly oscillating between powerful indie rock ("Ditch", "Enemies"), rollercoaster-like post-rock ("Secrets") and
feverish and tense noise-rock ("Felix", "Stockholm", "Mean Men"), the
trio tackles both social and more personal themes.
The brutality of the sharp and dynamic riffs will make you think of Shellac, The Jesus Lizard or Sonic Youth.
The subtlety of more atmospheric passages and melodic songs closer to Slint, Shipping News or Blonde Redhead.
Intricate pieces with interwoven parts, very often. The whole thing is threatening, energetic, fiercely moving forward on a bumpy road. It shall be listened to without filter, on the edge of a cliff.
